Draft 1 Music Video- Feedback
From the first draft of the music video the feedback we received we received was:
There should be more lip sync as this is a common convention used in music videos and it allows the artist to connect with the audience. So we included more shots with the artists singing to the camera.
Her camera at the beginning and in the middle of the video was to shaky. To correct this we re-filmed the scene at the beginning which enabled us when editing to switch between to create a more interesting visual. When we went to re shoot the middle of the video, the indoor garden where we first shot was closed so instead of re filming we used the Apple iMovie software to stabilise the shot.
In the middle and towards the end the artist head was cut of. I re -edited the shots and used ‘Ken burns’ before and after to ensure the artists head was fully included.
There were too many different transitions. Which made the video confusing. To correct this we used two transitions throughout the whole video to keep consistency.
The visuals in the chorus were random. To make them more consistent we included them more through the video to make it somewhat concept based.
To make the video more fun we included some of the behind the scenes towards the end of the video to end on a fun way, this convention has also been used in Coldplay videos.
